Ghanaian attacking midfielder Michael Baidoo scored and provided an assist in Elfsborg FC's home draw with Varnamo on Monday afternoon.
Elfsborg FC were held to a 2-2 home stalemate by Varnamo in the opening games of the 2024 Swedish Allsvenskan season at the Boraas Arena.
Baidoo opened his season's goal scoring account for Elfsborg in the 11th minute and also assisted Simon Hedlund to double their lead on the 28th minute of the game.
Varnamo warmed themselves into the fixture by pulling one back before recess through a goal from Wenderson Oliveira.
Swedish international Ajdin Zeljkovic scored a perfect strike in the 52nd minute to end the fixture in a two-all after no goal was produced in the remaining minutes.
Baidoo enjoyed the entire duration of the game with Jalal Abdulai also lasted the full duration with former Bibiani Goldstars winger Frank Adjei Junior making a cameo appearance for Varnamo.
He has already represented at the Ghana U17 and U20 levels.
