Ghana Football Association (GFA) have confirmed the relegation of Wasaman United, Sekondi Hasaccas, Unistar Academy and Achiken FC.

The relegation of four teams, instead of the three clubs, was as a result of the relegation of Elmina Sharks and West African Football Academy from the Ghana Premier league.

Both West African Football Academy and Elmina Sharks are within the Zone Two catchment, meaning, a spot needs to be created to accommodate them in that Zone.

Overwhelming winners, Samartex 1996, won the Zone Two league with sixty-six points to secure their debut Ghana Premier league campaign in 2022/23 season.

Wassaman United and Sekondi Hasaccas placed thirteenth and fourteenth with thirty-six and thirty-five points respectively.

The Former GPL side, Sekondi Hasaccas fortunes continues to worsen, as they continue to drop down the ladder.

Unistar Academy went through the drain after placing fifteenth with thirty-four points.

Embattled Achiken FC comfortably grabbed the bottom spot with twelve points.
