In the same group, Pro Players Academy redeemed themselves with a high-level display to oust Royal Kumapem by an emphatic 3-0 to get themselves back on winning ways as they aim at another final appearance.
The 'Goals Nkoaa' lads sealed the win by kind courtesy a brace from Abdulai Alhassan coupled with another from Afful Richard in the dying embers of the game.
Fast-forward in the other group, Kumasi Academicals after giving away a goal lead to loose their first game, did a stellar stuff this time by beating giants Benab FC 2-1 to end their fourteen-game winning streak and also pick their first ever Middle League victory.
