The group stages of the 2022/23 Ashanti Regional Division two Middle League was accomplished earlier today at two venues with matches honoured simultaneously.

Pro Players Academy needed a win to record a second straight final spot but fall out after playing out a pulsating goalless stalemate with PAC Academy- who have now moved to seven points and will finish as Group A conquerors.
In the other game, First Klass FC really gave a good account of themselves after marmalizing Royal Kumapem by 5-0 in the other game to finish second with six points.

Elsewhere in Group B, Mahala Academy made an explosive rise to dethrone all favourites to finish as winners despite coming in as debutants and underdogs after beating Kumasi Academicals by 2-0 in the last round of matches at Prempeh College.
Also, Jachie United stunned and tamed down one of the favourites Benab FC by 2-0 but wasn't enough to earn them qualification as they missed out narrowly.
Both Mahala Academy and Jachie United all finished with six points but the former got the nod to play PAC Academy in the final with better head to head- after winning their encounter by a slim 1-0 last Monday in match-day 2.
