Day two of the 2022 Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges boys soccer competition once again served students, old students and the country's football fanatics with some scintillating performances with no any surprise outcome this time.
1998 champions Opoku Ware SHS commenced off on the day, with a resounding 3-0 victory over Fomena Amass to announce their return in style, having failed to qualify in the last edition.
Arguably, the cracker of the day between Asanteman SHS and Osei Tutu Boys (OT) produced no goal in regulation time but the 'Nananom' outfit emerged victors with a 5-4 win via penalty shootouts.
The host school, Obuasi Secondary Technical left the streets of Obuasi in total raptures after preciously edging out newbies Agric Nzema SHS by 3-1 on the fifth game of the day.
However, three time winners Real Amass, led by Asante Kotoko's Abdulai Gazale, with a very strong statement after marmalizing Antoa SHS by an emphatic 4-0 to maintain their perfect winning and clean sheet run, right from the qualifiers.
Astonishingly, 2018 Daring Team Ashanti top eight conquerors, Sakafia SHS after a stellar display in the qualifiers got shocked by Adanwomase SHS after losing to them 5-4 on penalties.
