Black Stars captain Andre Ayew led his teammates to a precious victory over South Korea and added they will put that behind and focus on the game against Uruguay on Friday.
Ghana exhibited a five star performance to edge out the Taegeuk Warriors by 3-2 in a stunning five goal thriller in their second group game at the Education City Stadium.
The win is really a huge one for the four time African champions who have now enhanced their chances of making it into the knockout phase of the competition.
Speaking after the game, the Al Sadd attacker stated with so much optimism that he knew Ghana will win and confessed the game against Uruguay will be very tough.
“I was always calm and confident and I knew we would do it. South Korea are a good team but we were confident. We shift our attention to Friday and it will be very tough but I am proud of the team and I hope we can do more.”
Ghana will face the Sky Blues on Friday, December 2, 2022 in their last group game at the Al Janoub Stadium.
