The second round of matches of the 2023/24 Ashanti Regional Division Two Promotional tournament were held last Wednesday, May 8, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium with none of the teams having a hundred percent record so far in the campaign.
It was a seven-goal thriller in the opening fixture of the game as Benab FC gave away a goal lead to suffer a painful 4-3 loss to Ejisu-based Galaxy United.
After securing wins in their first matches, Jachie United and Mid City squared off against each other but ended up sharing the spoils after a pulsating 1-1 draw. They both have four points after two matches and will hope for a win in their last games to conquer Group B.
Sasaamo Panin FC, patched up all cracks and got themselves back on winning path with a precious 2-1 triumph over Fast Track FC to enhance their qualification chances.
Longford SC, after losing their first game, seeked redemption this time with an emphatic 1-3 victory against Ashanti Lynx and still stand a chance to qualify as it stands.
The final group matches will be honoured on Friday, April 10, with winners of Group A and B advancing to the final of the competition.
