The NSA and GES have come to a consensus to make few changes in the starting date for the 2023/24 Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges boys soccer competition.
At the meeting, the GES were led by Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Sports Federation- Suleman Yeboah whiles the NSA were also represented by their Ashanti Regional Director, Emmanuel Kojo Appiah.
Initially, 9th January 2024, was announced as the date for the commencement of the competition after the qualifiers series was wrapped up last month.
Defending champions Simms SHS and runners up Osei Kyeretwie SHS have all secured qualification, alongside T.I AMASS, Kumasi, Prempeh College, Opoku Ware School, Islamic SHS and others.
The much-anticipated tourney is now expected to begin on January 11, and will run till January 18, 2024, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
This is mainly due to the Black Stars ongoing preparations towards the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations which will end on January 10.
