The four-time African champions gaffer is confident of securing a berth into the continental showpiece with a stalemate game enough to seal qualification for his side next year

Black Stars coach Chris Houghton has said he and his charges will do "everything" they can to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast in 2024.

The African powerhouse will be slugging it out with the Central African Republic for a place in the championship come tomorrow at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for the last round of the qualifying games.

However, Houghton is positive his side will by hook or by crook see off their counterpart in order to seal their qualification to the continental contest.

"We will do everything we can to make it happen," the 64-year-old former Republic of lreland international told Accra-based Asaase Radio

"We have to take it as a good opportunity to qualify for the World Cup to get a feel of the experience," he added.

Ghana currently tops the group E standings with 9 points and a drawn game would be enough to see them making their 24th appearance for the tournament in lvory Coast in January 2024.

The much anticipated clash is expected to kick-start at 4:00 pm Local Time.
