The Black Stars held their first training earlier yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium as they look to get themselves adequately prepared for the upcoming assignment.
Ghana is preparing to face Madagascar in matchday five of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers- a tie they will just have to avoid defeat to seal qualification.
Of the 25 players invited, 23 have all touched down and took part in the training. However, the remaining two players that were absent included Thomas Partey and Gideon Mensah.
The Auxerre left-back was absent from the Black Stars first training session despite arrival at the team's camping base.
Also, Thomas Partey, who has been in the country since Saturday, was not present at the Black Stars training session this evening with the reasons yet to be determined.
Injured duo Alexander Djiku and Inaki Williams have been replaced by Kassim Adams Nuhu and Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer who all trained really well today.
Bechem United forward Hafiz Konkoni who netted 15 goals in the just ended Ghana Premier League was also present and took charge in the entire training session
The team is expected to depart Ghana on Friday, June 16 to face Madagascar in Antananarivo in a game that is slated for Sunday, June 18, 2023.
