Seventeen (17) players have now reported in the Black Stars camp for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Angola on Thursday.

Newly-appointed Ghana coach Chris Hughton, who was unveiled in Kumasi last Monday and was flown back to the capital to supervise the training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Joojo Wollacott, who suffered an injury before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, had a session with goalkeepers’ trainer Richard Kingston, while the rest of the group was asked to stretch their muscles and did a bit of kick-about with the ball.
 
Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has also been ruled out due to injury and has quickly been replaced with German-based midfielder Alfred Schindler.
 
The players including skipper Andre Ayew, Denis Odoi, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru, Edmund Addo, Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Ransford Yeboah, Joseph Paintsil, Joseph Aidoo, Daniel Amartey, Patrick Kpodo, Alexander Djiku, Jojo Wollacott returns from injury and newbie Kingsley Schindler.
 
Hughton's first game in charge will be a back-to-back qualifier against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, with Ghana hosting the Palancas Negras at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 23 and travelling to Luanda for the reverse leg fixture four days later.
