Following his consistent performances since the start of the ongoing season, Turkish-based defender, Joseph Attamah Larweh has been included in the Black Stars 55 provisional man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 29-year-old has been outstanding for Kayserispor in the Turkish topflight and has always scored full marks, having featured in 15 matches so far in the ongoing season.
The last time he was in action was against Pendikspor and was once again in the thick of affairs, having marshalled the back so well to help the Anatolian Stars record a precious 2-0 win to climb to the third spot on the league log.
His impressive display caught the good eyes of the technical handlers of the Black Stars who have now added him to their provisional list ahead of tbe 2023 AFCON scheduled for early next year in Cote D'Ivoire.
As he prepares for their crunchy clash against league leaders Fenerbahce tomorrow, the versatile defender will hope for another stupendous performance to seal his spot in the final 26-man squad for the competition.
Ghana are drawn in Group B alongside giants Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to commence on January 13, 2024.
