Substitute Michael Ephson's goal was enough for the Black Satellites of Ghana to beat Senegal by 1-0 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium to cruise into the final of the 2023 African Games. 

 

The Satellites started on a higher note and were on top in terms of everything but struggled to get a goal following the resolute backline of the Senegalese.

Despite being off, the Young Lions nearly snatched the courtesy a heater from Ibrahima Diallo buy his header missed the target by inches. 

The Ghanaians mounted so much pressure and had some opportunities fell on their path but Jerry Afriyie and Musibau Aziz couldn't make it count.

In the second half, both countries returned on a good note but Senegal looked stronger this time having taken over possession and made some goal incursions.

On the 71st minute, the Senegalese came so close to finding the back of the net but the free kick delivery was saved by goalkeeper Saeed Yakubu.

The Black Satellites finally snatched the lead on the 83rd minute courtesy Samartex FC striker Michael Ephson who tapped into the net from Jerry Afriyie's cross.

It ended 1-0 for Ghana after full time and they are through to the final where they will face Uganda on Friday, March 22.
