Head coach Nora Hauptle has announced the strong starting lineup for Ghana's women's national team as they prepare to face Guinea in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Following the disappointment of the Black Meteors' failure to qualify for the Olympics, the women's team is determined to secure a ticket to represent the country in Paris.
In the first round of the African qualifiers, the Black Queens are set to face Guinea, with experienced defender Janet Egyir leading the team as captain. Jennifer Cudjoe is also included in the starting lineup, while Findiib Konlan takes the position of goalkeeper for the Queens.
Although playing as the away side, the Black Queens remain confident and determined to secure a victory, as expressed by head coach Nora Hauptle.
During a pre-match press conference, Coach Hauptle emphasized that her players are well aware of their roles, positions, and game plan, and she expects them to work cohesively, support each other, and fight together.
"These are the tasks, and they know what to do for a certain victory tomorrow," Coach Nora Hauptle stated.
The match between Guinea and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT at Stade de Generale Lansana Conte.
