The Black Stars of Ghana departed the capital, Accra this morning and have safely touched down in Kumasi to continue with preparations towards the penultimate clashes against Angola and Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ten players participated in the team's first training session last Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The players included Frederick Asare, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, and Ibrahim Osman
Subsequently, players like Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Turkish-based duo of Kingsley Schindler and Jerome Opoku, Alidu Seidu, Majeed Ashimeru, Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin and starboy Kudus Mohammed have all arrived and joined the Kumasi trip.
Forson Amankwah, who was subsequently handed a late call up is still yet to drop so as Osman Bukari and Jordan Ayew, who are expected by the close of today.
The team will train later in the day at the Baba Yara Stadium and will be opened to the public and media.
This preparation is crucial ahead of their qualifier against Angola on Thursday, September 5. Following this, the Black Stars will travel to Berkane, Morocco, to face Niger in their second Group F match on Monday, September 9, 2024.
