The Black Stars will battle it out with Colombia in the round of 32 of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup after finishing third in Group L.
Ghana dropped to third-place after suffering a 2-1 loss to the 2018 World Cup finalists in the final group game of the tournament.
The two teams will face each other on July 4, 2026 at 1:30AM in the round of 32.
The matchup was decided Saturday evening after Colombia and Portugal ended in a draw. The tie gave Colombia the edge to win Group K. Both squads had already secured spots in the knockout stage before the match.
The Black Stars lost 2-1 to Croatia Saturday, but still advanced out of the group stage and into the knockout stage in the World Cup.
Ghana is making its third appearance in the knockout stage after missing out on the 2014 and 2022 editions.
