The Black Stars remain unbeaten in any fixture against the Three Lions of England after holding them to a 0-0 draw in the second game of the Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night.
England completed 190 passes more than Ghana in the opening 35 minutes, but it took until then to fashion their one and only clear chance of the first half when Declan Rice nodded over after Noni Madueke had isolated his full-back in a rare sign of intent.
The nation hoped for a repeat of Tuchel's inspirational half-time team-talk which galvanised his side six days earlier against Croatia, but it was more of the same after the break this time and it took another 11 minutes for Anthony Gordon to finally register England's first shot on target with a tame effort straight at Benjamin Asare.
Tuchel turned to Bukayo Saka, whose minutes are being managed because of a lingering Achilles problem, and replaced Jude Bellingham with Morgan Rogers in an attempt to break the stalemate.
Saka forced a fine save from Ghana keeper Benjamin Asare, while another substitute Nico O'Reilly headed against the bar, leaving Tuchel and England to settle for a point. Marc Guehi also had a header cleared off the line.
Ghana's valuable point threatened to become three when substitute Prince Adu was played in behind and seemingly caught by a wayward Ezri Konsa slide, which inexplicably was waved away both by the on-field officials and VAR.
The Black Stars are on the verge of securing a round of 32 spot following today's draw which keeps the West African nation at the second place with four points same as leader England in Group L.
Ghana travel to Philadelphia to face Croatia on June 27 while England take on Panama on Saturday in New Jersey at the same date and time in the final group games.
