The Black Stars of Ghana have landed in the East African country for their second Group I game of the 2026 FIFA World Cup scheduled for Tuesday.

A contingent comprising of players, technical and management members touched down in Moroni on Saturday, November 18, 2023, for the crucial fixture against Comoros.

Coach Chris Hughton and his charges started the 2026 World Cup qualifying round with a narrow win over Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday evening.

A 96th minute header from Inaki Williams was enough to hand Ghana a victory over the Barea of Madagascar in the Group I opening games.

Comoros also began their qualification campaign with an emphatic 4-2 comeback win over Central African Republic and their last meeting with Ghana was the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations where they defeated the Black Stars in a five-goal thriller.

Ghana's last visit to Moroni to face the senior national team of Comoros was in 2015 which ended in score-less draw during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Comoros will host Ghana at the Stade de Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 4:00 PM.
