President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama watched the Black Stars marmalized Chad by a resounding 5-0 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in match-day five of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and shared his excitement afterwards
The Black Stars were ruthless on the night having put five past 'Les Sao' in a game they dominated right from onset and blasted series of chances.
Five different players were on the scoresheet namely; Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, captain Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu and Ernest Nuamah to wrap up the win leaving the capital fans in complete raptures.
Reacting to the victory, the country's first gentleman took to X to laud the performance of the Black Stars and send a caution to them not to be complacent heading into their subsequent games
"I had a good appetite for dinner after the Black Stars' 5-0 victory. Congrats guys. Let's this victory not make us complacent. This should be the beginning of bringing back the LOVE.
"Next focus: Madagascar. Go Black Stars."
The win has seen Ghana climb up to the summit of the Group I log with 12 points after five matches to enhance their qualification chances
The Black Stars will face Madagascar next on March 24, in Al Hoceima, in Morocco.
