Veteran football administrator, Jonathan Abbey Pobee has revealed that the 2023 Ghana Football Association (GFA) Elective Congress was fictitious.
The 2023 GFA Elections, was held on Thursday October 5, 2023 at the Global Dream Hotel in Tamale, with FIFA, CAF, and WAFU officials being in attendance to supervise and monitor the electoral process.
Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku was re-elected unopposed for a second term, gnarning massive support of the masses.
Speaking on Citi FM’s EyeWitness News, Abbey Pobee indicated that the election is a clear indication of our laws not working.
"I will term it as a back door election, this is not a genuine election.
"When President Obama came to this country, he said we should allow our institutions to work, what do we see now?
"I think we have forgotten that, this same incident happened to Nyantakyi some time ago, went to the same Tamale and what happened to him, later he was ousted by FIFA.
"So they must think twice, what happened in Tamale was a very bad thing to do, it looks as if there are no laws in this country," Pobee wondered.
