Abdul Salam Yakubu, the chief of New Edubiase, has urged Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku to resign in the aftermath of the Black Stars' disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana's early exit from the tournament, marked by two draws and a defeat in the group stage, has sparked calls for leadership changes.

Expressing his discontent, Yakubu emphasized that Okraku's resignation is necessary in the wake of the national team's poor showing.

“The Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku must resign following Black Stars poor performance in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast,” He told Asempa FM.

Following the subpar AFCON performance, the GFA has already parted ways with coach Chris Hughton and the entire Black Stars technical team.

A five-member committee has been formed to identify a new coach to lead the national team.
