Veteran Ghanaian Journalist, Ekow Asmah has called for the apprehension of Sports Minister Hon. Mustapha Ussif in what he described as lack of transparency as to whether there are some national benefits in the recent Black Stars friendlies.
The senior men national team engaged into two pre- World Cup friendlies against giants Brazil and Nicaragua in France and Spain respectively.
The contingent that left for the short European tour didn't only involve the players and technical team but also had the GFA President Kurt Okraku and the Sports Minister in their mix.
In most occasions, countries do obtain profit in engaging in such friendlies and there hasn't been any communique like that since the Stars regrouped for those games.
On Angel FM in Accra, Ekow Asmah deems it unusual for not making things clear to Ghanaians concerning what transpired in the recent games and has called on the IGP to detain the Member of Parliament for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency. He said;
"IGP Dampare should arrest the Sports Minister when arrives at the airport over lack of transparency on Black Stars friendly games."
