Asante Kotoko will welcome Ivorian heavyweights ASEC Mimosas for the 2024 President Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The game is slated for March 5, 2024, just a day prior to the celebration of the country's 67th Independence Anniversary.
The President Cup since it inception, has always been contested between two Ghanaian clubs to honour every sitting first gentleman of the land and has been held for almost two decades now.
However, there were instances were clubs from other African countries were handed the opportunity to feature in this cup game, notably DR Congo giants TP Mazembe, and this year's edition is taking the path.
The game will be graced by H.E Nana Akuffo Addo, and President of Cote D'Ivoire, H.E Alassane Ouattara- with both Heads of States to watch the game together from the official box.
The good news is that, GHALCA have announced a free entry for all Kumasi football loving fans who would wish to have a feel of the game.
The Porcupine Warriors have eight successes in the President Cup and will hope to clinch it for the ninth time this year with their last win happening in 2019.
