The 2022 Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges boys soccer competition kicked off this morning at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
There was so many excitement and entertainment at the venue with some expected and surprising outcomes.
The opening game of the day had to do with a playoff and was subsequently won by Jacobu SHS 5-3 on penalties over Ghana Mission Muslim. They have now qualified into the main tourney.
Five time champions, Adu Gyamfi SHS were handed a very tough game by St Jerome SHS but still managed to cruise into the next round with a 4-2 win via penalty shootouts after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time.
Aduman SHS with a very strong statement after annihilating Mpasatia SEC/TECH by 4-1 to advance to the next stage.
Konongo Odumase SHS exhibited some sumptuous display of football, having netted two goals in five minutes to edge out Bodomase SHS by an emphatic 3-1.
