In the aftermath of Ghana's disappointing 2-0 loss to Mexico in a recent friendly match held in North Carolina, the Black Stars' goalkeeper trainer, Richard Kingson, praised Lawrence Ati Zigi for his exceptional handling of back passes.
Despite the defeat, Kingson expressed his confidence in the goalkeeper's abilities and stressed the importance of addressing the team's weaknesses to come back stronger.
"Yes, he did very well, especially with some very hard and difficult passes, but he managed to deal with them," he stated in an interview with 3Sports.
"His concentration and determination were remarkably high, so we will return to our training grounds to rectify some of the mistakes and improve in the future," he added.
In the international friendly at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mexico secured a 2-0 victory over Ghana, with goals scored by Hirving Lozano and substitute Antuna Romero. Stephan Ambrosius made his first start for the Black Stars in that match.
