  Deputy captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Andre Ayew, has admitted that their chances of winning the continental title will depend on adequate preparation.

  Reigning SWAG Footballer of the year says they also need to prepare physically and mentally ahead of the AFCON 2017 in Gabon.
 
  Two goals from Andre Ayew and Christian Astu to edge past Mauritius on Sunday helped the West African country to qualify to next year tournament in Gabon.
 
  “It is 6 months to the tournament and talking a lot and speculating will help nobody" he told reporters
 
  “The most important thing for us is how well we prepare because its the only to perform well in a tournament.
 
  “This isn’t our first time at an Afcon so we must apply what we have picked up.
 
  “The plan is to stay calm and focused while we listen to instructions from the coach.
 
  “There are a lot of uncertainties as well because various individuals will return for pre-season and anything can happen and becasue of this we must stay calm.
 
  “We need to be prepared mentally and physically because this is a very important tournament for us.”
