High-flying Benab Ajax FC have been crowned champions of the 2023/24 Old Tafo Municipal Colts U-17 Championship following their stupendous performance throughout the season
The Benab FC youngsters won their zone with points after 12 matches and had to battle out with the other two champions in the district; Stamford Heroes and Felton Academy, for the supremacy.
They Greens were really unstoppable in the four-team tournament last Saturday at the Tafo Astro Turf in an all-play-all fashion where they defeated both Felton Academy and Stamford Heroes by 3-1 to officially emerge champions of the Old Tafo Municipal district.
This is the second time the Benab FC feeder team will be playing in the regional champion of champions competition where all winners of the zonals will clash and battle for supremacy on who is the best in the region.
Benab Ajax FC emerged champions of the 2022 edition after beating Kumasi Barcelona Babies by 2-0 in an epic final at the Baba Yara Stadium.
They are known for producing quality youngsters for Ghana's youth national teams with Joseph Narbi and Abdul Rafiu Issah recently part of the Black Starlets squad in the just-ended WAFU U-17 Championship.
