Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Benjamin Afutu Kotey has finally found another grounds in active football in the Gulf region where he continues his exploits as a solid rock for his side after leaving Egypt months ago.
The Defensive Midfielders left Ghana to Egypt after a stellar performance in the 2020/21 season aiding Hearts of Oak to annex the Ghana Premier League diadem breaking a 12-year jinx.
He played an instrumental role in Hearts of Oak's team scoring seven goals from defensive midfield position which lifted his status to a national player within the local scene and international front.
After leaving the team to North Africa to ply his trade in the Egyptian league with Eastern Company FC, he could not live up to the exception as he lasted only few months at a relatively unknown side.
Reports were rife that in the local media of contract termination but were quickly annulled by his end to suggest a mutual termination.
After securing a permanent move to Saudi Arabian third-tier side Al-Taqadom FC on a year renewable contract, should be a stepping stone to getting back to his old self.
