The Black Galaxies returned to Ghana on the early hours of today in a very secret fashion after a very disappointing display in the ongoing 2022 African Nations Championship.

The home-based national team haven't been in Ghana since leaving for a pre-tourney training tour in Egypt in December where they spent almost two weeks before finally jetting off to Algeria- where the competition is being held.

In the group stages, Ghana finished second with six points thanks to a 3-1 win over Sudan and also got awarded with three points due to Morocco's refusal to partake in the tournament. But, they got humbled in their opening game by Madagascar- who went on to finish as winners of Group C.

Despite securing an unconvincing qualification to the knockout stage, the Black Galaxies failed to impress once more after painfully losing 2-0 to less-fancied Niger in the quarter final to exit the tourney.

Due to their disappointing performance at the CHAN, the two time finalists arrived home this dawn without publicizing it to avoid any form of bully from the irate Ghanaian football fans.

The CHAN is still ongoing with host nation Algeria to face Senegal in the final this weekend.
