The Black Queens held their first training session on English soil after touching down for Tuesday’s high-profile friendly against the Lionesses, shaking off the cold with a sharp session at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
Despite freezing temperatures in the West Midlands, the squad looked focused and energetic, frequently gathering in tight huddles between drills to stay warm and maintain concentration ahead of the challenge awaiting them.
Head coach Kim Lars Björkegren and his technical team oversaw an intense, high-tempo session — all aimed at preparing Ghana for England’s speed and physical advantage.
For several players, training at a world-class facility offered a reminder of the scale of the test, as the team continues to fine-tune its preparations for upcoming continental campaigns.
With kick-off set for 2 December at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, the Black Queens are fully focused and ready to compete, whatever the conditions.
