Tamale Northern Ladies midfielder Wasiima Mohammed has arrived in Zurich for a 10-day trial with Swiss top-flight side FC Zurich Women, following her participation in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with Ghana’s Black Queens.
The trial opportunity was facilitated by Zakaria Safianu, CEO of Division One League side Real Tamale United (RTU).
Wasiima, a former Black Princesses attacking midfielder who impressed during the Ghana Women’s Premier League season, will look to earn a permanent move as she trains with the Swiss club over the next week and a half.
The 21-year-old's trial in Zurich marks a potential step toward her first professional move abroad.
