He went straight into coach Otto Addo's first XI for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday, keeping a clean sheet as the Black Stars won 5-0.
Asare again manned the post in the match against the Berea of Madagascar on Monday night at the Mimoun Al Arsi Stadium in AI Hoceima, Morocco.
The Black Stars followed up with a 3-0 victory to extend their lead at the top of Group I with 15 points.
Asare, 32, has so far played 18 times for Hearts of Oak in the ongoing season, and has bagged twelve clean sheets
