The Black Stars have for the first time ever completed an Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers campaign without a single win - signifying how embarrassing they have been recently.

Ghana wrapped up the qualifiers earlier this mid-afternoon with a very painful 1-2 defeat to Niger at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

Ousseni Badamassi opened the scoring account in the first half with a towering header in the 21st minute.

Young sensation Jerry Afriyie came off the bench to level the score before Oumar Sako scored at the death to snatch the match-winner for the Ménas.

The four-time African champions after six round of matches; recorded three defeats and three draws having finished at the bottom of Group F with three points.

Coach Otto Addo's men scored only three goals in the qualifying series and conceded seven - having had the ball at the back of their net in five matches out of the six games honoured.

The former Borussia Dortmund trainer has stated emphatically clear he isn't resigning from his role despite the embarrassing campaign when pressed after the game.

The Black Stars will regroup in March next year to take on Chad in match-day five of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
