Ghanaian champions Medeama SC have finally touched down safely in Conakry ahead of their CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg against Horoya AC this weekend. 

The team left the shores of Ghana on Thursday with a contingents of players, technical team members and other club officials.

The Mauves end Yellows proved their superiority in the first leg, having humbled the Guinean giants by 3-1 in the first leg in Cape Coast and will hope to earn another positive results in the second leg to book a money zone spot.

The team is expected to train on the match venue today in order to feel the pitch and also for adaptation, stipulated in the CAF statutes.

Medeama SC are with a full strength squad including Black Stars duo of Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Jonathan Sowah and are very hopeful of making it to the group stages of the Champions League.

The game is slated for Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the GLC Stadium at 16:00GMT
