In the second Group A match of the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Ghana will face the host nation, Morocco, at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Tuesday, June 27.

The Black Meteors are determined to secure a spot in the semifinals of the competition. After a hard-fought 3-2 victory in their first match against Congo, a win against Morocco would guarantee their progression to the knockout stages. Morocco, on the other hand, rallied from a goal down to defeat Guinea 2-1 in their opening game.

Head coach Ibrahim Tanko is expected to make minor adjustments to the lineup that emerged victorious against Congo on Sunday.

Promising goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad is likely to retain his position as the last line of defense.

Aaron Essel is anticipated to start at right-back, while Samuel Ashie Quaye returns from suspension and is expected to replace Edmond Arko Mensah at left-back. Terry Yegbe and David Oppong are likely to continue their partnership in central defense.

In midfield, Dominic Nsobila and Emmanuel Essiam are expected to maintain their positions. They will be joined by Abass Samari Salifu, who will come in for Sylvester Simba.

Emmanuel Yeboah, who scored two goals in the previous game, is expected to lead the attacking line, supported by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Ernest Nuamah. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will provide further options upfront.

Here is a potential lineup for the Meteors:

Goalkeeper: Danlad Ibrahim (c)

Defenders: Samuel Ashie Quaye, Aaron Essel, Terry Yegbe, David Oppong

Midfielders: Emmanuel Essiam, Abass Samari, Dominic Nsobila

Forwards: Ernest Nuamah, Fatawu Issahaku, Emmanuel Yeboah
