Black Meteors have their qualification chances in the ongoing Africa U-23 Cup of Nations thrown in a huge doubt after an appaling 5-1 defeat against Morocco last Tuesday in Rabat.

This was after they had beaten Congo Brazzaville 3-2 in their first game on Sunday and were hoping for another better results against the host to keep off with their perfect start but turned out to be a nightmare.

Guinea also in Group A, won 3-1 over Congo in their second game after giving away a goal lead to loose 2-1 in their opening fixture and the win now, has giving them an advantage of playing in the next stage of the competition heading into the final group games.

Speaking in a post-match presser, the Meteors head coach brahim Tanko says his target is that, he expect his charges to play their hearts out for all three points since that's the only means of qualification as it stands.

“I think both of us want to qualify to the next stage so I think both teams are going to prepare well to win the game. I can only talk about my team; I don’t know what the Guineans want but definitely we want to win to progress."

Ghana will host Guinea on Friday, June 30, 2023.
