Former Asante Kotoko and T.P Mazembe midfielder, Daniel Nii Adjei has cautioned Medeama SC ahead of their CAF Champions League first qualifying round game against Nigerian side Remo Stars this weekend.

The Mauves and Yellows have been in serious preparations towards the penultimate clash coming up and will definitely set sights on at least cruising above this round.

The first leg will be held in Ghana this weekend and will leave for the return encounter in a week time in Sagamu in the Ogun State.

Remo Stars FC are also expected in the course of the week and will surely arrive on time for quick acclimatization with no complications before the game, especially when both countries have similar weather.

The first leg is scheduled for this Sunday, August 20, at the Cape Coast Stadium. Daniel Nii Adjei who has so much experience when it comes to the CAF inter-club competitions, has revealed how important it is to win by a big margin at home and also urged them to be fully concentrated towards the game.

"Playing at home aside from league match, you have to win by a big margin because African champions league sometimes depends on goals."

“Somebody comes to your home and you think you have won maybe by two goals when you travel to their home, the way they will treat you, what they will do to you, it’s not easy."

"So I think they have to win by a big margin of goals so that it can help them and they have to concentrate on the game and they have to relax and play."

“They shouldn’t put much pressure on themselves but they have to relax and build their game so that they score more goals to overcome when they go to Nigeria.” Daniel Nii Adjei told Radio Gold Sports.

He is currently the head coach of women football club Sea Lions FC and just recently qualified them back to the Premier League.
