The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have announced a new pre-AFCON friendly and will be against Namibia and is scheduled for January 7, 2024.

Initially, the Black Stars were to take on the Zebras of Botswana in Johannesburg but the game has been cancelled after they rescinded their decision to camp in South Africa.

The Brave Warriors earlier, announced they will be camping in Ghana for the 2023 AFCON slated for Cote D'Ivoire early year and arrived last Thursday and will lodge in the capital, Accra.

They are expected to play friendlies against two local clubs and have now added one against the four-time African champions.

Coach Chris Hughton has already announced his 55-man squad hoping to reduce it to the final 26 by the close of next week and are expected to camp in Kumasi for the tournament.

Ghana are drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will start on January 13, 2024.
