Former Black Stars shot-stopper, Fatau Dauda says the Black Stars technical team must consider Danlad Ibrahim for the World Cup.
Danlad Ibrahim is with the Black Galaxies as they hope to qualify ahead of Nigeria after beating them in the 1st leg of the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
The 19-year-old safest pair of hands made twenty appearances for the Porcupine Warriors last season, after Razak Abalora was transferred to Sheriff Tiraspol.
The Black Stars will face Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal in the group stage of the mundial in Qatar, with Ghana expected to face Nicaragua, Brazil and Switzerland before their first game on 24th November.
Fatau Dauda believes that the former Black Starlets goalkeeper should be considered for selection ahead of the World Cup.
“I know that the goalkeeping department of the Black Stars led by Richard Kingson is working and looking at Danlad Ibrahim," he told Accra-based Radio Gold.
“If they have to consider any goalkeeper apart from those playing outside the country then it should be Danlad Ibrahim.
“Of course, it’s obvious because he is our Black Galaxies number one and after the Black Stars, the next is the Black Galaxies.
“It will depend on what the coaches want from the goalkeeper and that is why I’m advising him on how to play.
“He can be in the team if the coaches want him and I’m very sure that if they can qualify most of the players will be at the World Cup," he added.
