The 39-year-old tactician has left his role as assistant coach of Hearts of Oak after eight months, Kickgh.com can exclusively report
Accra Hearts of Oak interim coach David Ocloo has resigned from his coaching job after the club's disastrous campaign during the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
Ocloo tendered his resignation letter to the Hearts of Oak board of directors on Friday, July 7, 2023 citing personal reasons for leaving the club after just a season.
He joined Hearts of Oak in October 2022 as assistant coach to Serbian coach Slavko Matic for the 2022/23 season after the sacking of Samuel Boadu's led technical team.
However, Ocloo was announced as interim coach of Hearts of Oak following the club's decision to terminate their contract with Slavko Matic over an uninspiring performance in the Premier League.
He guided Hearts of Oak to finish 12th position on the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League log, escaping relegation on the final day of the season.
Ocloo previously had stints with West African Football Academy (WAFA), Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko.
He was part of the Asante Kotoko technical team that won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.
