Ibrahim Sadiq has been left out of Ghana's 25-man squad for this month's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic (CAR).
The 2000-born winger was in scintillating form for Swedish top side BK Häcken before moving to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in a €4m long-term deal.
Sadiq, having joined Häcken from FC Nordsjaelland last summer scored 19 goals and provided six assists in 35 appearances over the previous two seasons.
During this new campaign, Sadiq has shown his incredible quality by notching six goals and registering two assists in seven Europa League qualification matches.
Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton named his 25-man squad for next week's all-important clash against the Wild Beasts with Sadiq been left out of the list, as the game set to come-off at the Baba Yara stadium on September 7, 2023.
