Basake Holy Stars secured a 1-0 victory that ended New Edubiase’s five game unbeaten run to the Division One League (Zone Two) season at Bekwai on Sunday afternoon.
Emotions ran high for the home side after Holy Stars struck the only goal in the 18th minute through Abubakar Konda-Adams.
Edubiase probed for an equaliser but never looked likely as their forward line was strongly held at bay which prevented them from scoring.
The matchday 9 result sees the Nzema-based side move to the first spot of the Zone Two table.
