Former Black Stars coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has cautioned the players not to be obsessed with a revenge against Uruguay, as he urged them not to focus on one team.

Ghana were beaten by Uruguay on penalties in the quarter finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

 
Luis Suarez hand ball gave Ghana the edge to score to progress into the semi-finals in the dying minutes of the extra time, but Asamoah Gyan missed from the spot.
 
Ghana will face Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal in Group H in the World Cup in Qatar.
 
Ghana will face Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly on 17th November, before playing their first game against Portugal on 24th.
 
The three-time World Cup participants will hope to qualify from the group stage after missing out from the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.
 
Part time head coach, Otto Addo has come under intense pressure after Black Stars abysmal performance since qualifying for the World Cup in March.
 
He's won only two in eight games in charge of the Western African nation.
 
C.K Akonnor has advised Ghana not to focuse solely on seeking revenge against Uruguay in the group stage.
 
"I was there my self. I was shocked. I can affirm how he [Asamoah Gyan] feels but we should not look at it in the way of revenge. We are going into a tournament and you need to come out good in the group and move to the next stage. You could win Uruguay and go out.
 
"All the games are difficult that is why it’s important not to focus on one team," he added.
