Former Ghanaian international, John Paintsil has advised the Black Stars players not to look down on any of their opponents in the qualifiers since the dynamics of the African game has recently changed.
Paintsil, 40, has so much experience when it comes to games like these having featured for the senior national team for 12 years with over 80 appearances.
The Black Stars after a disappointing AFCON display early this year, will start another journey into the qualifiers hoping for another spot in the next edition.
Ghana is placed Group E in the qualifiers alongside Madagascar, Angola and Central African Republic.
Speaking to Akoma FM in Kumasi, the former West Ham and Fulham lateral has edged the Black Stars to remain focus and shouldn't underrate any opponent. He said;
"The players themselves know what is ahead of them. It is an Afcon qualifier and the opponents are tricky teams so they (Black Stars) should not underrate any of them because the game now is dynamic."
"They should rather stay together and listen to the instructions of the technical team just as they did against Nigeria."
Ghana will host the Bareas of Madagascar in their opening fixture of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
