Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has donated Ghc50,000 to Ampem Darkoa Ladies ahead of CAF Champions League campaign.
Dr. Bawumia, who is known for his philanthropic activities, has gifted Ghana Women's Premier League champions Ghc50,000 after donating to Hasaccas Ladies when they qualified for the CAF Champions League last season.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies are the Ghana Women's Premier League champions as they defeated 2020/21 champions Hasaccas Ladies in the final on Penalties.
The Techiman-based outfit completed a clean sweep over Hasaccas Ladies on the domestic scene by beating them by 1:0 in the MTN FA cup again.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face Burkina Faso's USFA, Athleta FC of Togo and Nigeria's Bayelsa Queens FC in the group B of the Champions League qualifiers in Ivory Coast.
Ghanaian representative in the Champions League last season, Hasaccas Ladies finished as runners up to Mamelodi Sundowns.
