Division One League outfit Elmina Sharks FC will kick off their Division One League campaign against Nzema Kotoko on opening weekend of the newly branded competition at the Ndoum Sports Stadium.
The “Sharks of Elmina” will look to having a good go this season in the second tier in their bid to return to the top flight of Ghana football after they were relegated last season.
Elmina Sharks after an impressive pre-season and augmenting their squad with some new players, to compliment the experienced players they have on their roster. It is believed they could make an early U-turn to the Ghana Premier League.
Sharks will play in the Division One Zone 2 League, where it houses former Premier League sides with the likes of Ebusua Dwarfs and a relegated partner West Africa Football Academy who dropped down to the lower division together with the Elmina based club, among other promotion vying clubs who could give them a good fight for the only promotion slot available.
Elmina Sharks have kept faith in Dortmund legend Mallam Yahaya to lead the club back to where it belongs. Some Elmina Sharks players who you should watch out for this season; Ebenezer ADUKWAW, B. ESHUN, TANKO, Nikolas ASSAN, D. ADDO just to mention a few.
