Black Princesses midfielder, Evelyn Badu, elated after winning 2022 Confederations of African Football (CAF) young women player of the year and CAF inter-clubs women player of the year awards in Rabat, Morocco.

The 19-year-old was crucial in Hasaccas impressive performance at the first-ever CAF Women's Champions league, losing 2:0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the finals, and was the best player at the tournament.

She scored five goals, to win the golden boot, in the women's inter-clubs competition in Egypt last year.

Evelyn have joined Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL ahead of the 2021/22 season from Hasaccas ladies.

Evelyn Badu admits that winning the awards at the CAF ceremony is very precious to her and thanked teammates for their contribution to her success.

"It's something which very precious to me because it's been a long journey like you said," she told GTV Sports +.

"I thank my teammates, Hasaccas Ladies and Coach Basigi alot..." she added.
