Ghanaian champions FC Samartex 1996 have released a statement just few hours ago to rubbish reports that, they have transferred their captain Emmanuel Keyekeh to Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars FC
It was widely reported in the Ghanaian media last Tuesday night that, the stalwart middleman has moved and his pictures even popped up on social media in action for Singida Black Stars in a preseason friendly against Rwandan champions APR FC.
Despite Keyekeh being rumoured to have switched permanently on a three-year deal after a fruitful negotiations between both parties, fresh report also states there hasn't been anything of such as his former club are not aware of anything.
However, FC Samartex just confirmed they have no idea of Emmanuel Keyekeh's transfer since they haven't approved any move and are pushing to put things in the right order regarding the whole issue since the player is still under contract with them.
The experienced midfielder enjoyed a fantastic season with the Timber Giants having led as a captain to help them win their first ever league title in just their second campaign in the topflight.
The lanky middleman was unplayable and was arguably the best midfielder last season having netted 5 goals and provided 2 assists from the center-half of the pitch in 32 league matches.
His stellar performance earned him a huge accolade over the weekend after being adjudged the best home-based footballer at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards.
