Randy Abbey, an Executive Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and President of Heart of Lions, has officially announced that he will not be running for the GFA presidential position in the upcoming election.

Despite being regarded as a strong potential candidate to challenge the incumbent president, Kurt Okraku, Abbey has refuted any rumors suggesting his interest in contending for the highest office in the association.

In an interview with Asempa FM, Abbey made it clear that he has no intention of vying for the GFA presidency, stating, "I'm not interested in contesting for the GFA presidential seat, it is out of the equation." This declaration puts an end to speculations surrounding his candidacy.

Abbey has been an influential figure within the GFA's Executive Council during Kurt Okraku's tenure and remains committed to supporting the association in its future endeavors.

His club, Heart of Lions, recently secured promotion from the Division One League to the top flight and is determined to make a significant impact in the upcoming season after facing relegation eight years ago.
