Sannie Daara, a former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, believes that the head coach of Ghana’s senior men’s team, and his technical team are working to build a “formidable” side for the country.

Daara went ahead to urge fans to be patient with the Black Stars’ returning coach, Otto Addo, despite a challenging start to the qualifiers.

In recent times the Black Stars has been exposed to grueling fire following their abysmal output in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games.

Speaking on Asempa FM‘s Ultimate Sports Show Thursday, Daara, a senior media officer at CAF, emphasized the importance of supporting Addo to build a strong team.

“The Black Stars defeated Nigeria to qualify for the World Cup with a very young team, and if you look at the squad, we were very young so the momentum should have continued despite the elimination from the World Cup but we could not sustain the momentum," he stated.

"I believe the frequent changes of coaches have not helped the team and it has affected the confidence of this team.

"The team now cannot perform well at tournaments and even play against minor sides. The technical team is now building a young team so we must exercise patience for this team," he added.

The Black Stars will jet out to Luanda to face Angola on November 15 at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, kick-off at 19:00 GMT. They will travel back to Accra and host Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, kick-off at 16:00 GMT.
